Welby Way Charter Elementary and Gifted-High Ability Magnet Home

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend as we gear up for a week of fun with Fitness Week and everyone enjoyed a ride around the school on your bike, scooter, or just walked.   Such a fun event for all and a great way to kick off a week of fitness and fun!  I also want to congratulate our 4th and 5th grade Math Field Day teams.   Our 4th grade team came in 1st place and 5th grade came in 3rd place.  I am so very proud of them and all their hard work under Mrs. Hassig's guidance.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend as many of our Welby Way students have been busy this weekend with Math Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind.  Two of our Math Olympiad students Stuti and Debasmita won a silver award and Odyssey of the Mind students worked extra hard with one of our teams moving onto the Worlds Competition.   I am so proud of the determination and hard work of all our Welby Way teams and students.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend as we head into a fun week with Read Across America activities and events.   I want to thank the staff who came out to The Open Book Store to read to our families and thank you to the families who participated and supported Welby Way. Below are the fun events for students as we celebrate the joy of literacy and reading.

We hope you are all having an enjoyable three day weekend as there is no school tomorrow in honor of Cesar Chavez.  School will resume on Tuesday with 1:30 pm dismissal.

Fitness Week is quickly approaching! The kickoff event will be our Family Bike Day on Sunday, March 23rd@4PM—a fun and exciting way to start the week!
