Good evening Welby Way families,
I hope everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable spring break whether you stayed home and relaxed or traveled far. I apologize if I am calling in the middle of your holiday gathering and dinner. School will resume on Tuesday, April 2nd and there is no school tomorrow as we are about to complete the last stretch of the school year for 2024.
This Week:
Wednesday: We have El Camino coming to present their choir to our 2nd - 5th grade students in the auditorium. We look forward to hearing their beautiful voices..
School Tour: We will have our last spring school tour on Thursday, April 4th at 8:30 am in the library This tour is for incoming families who live in our area or were accepted via the lottery or magnet. No children are permitted for the tour.
POWW Restaurant Night on April 9th: Next Tuesday, April 9th POWW is hosting restaurant night at Grandi Italiani Family Restaurant on Sherman Way between Topanga and Owensmouth in Canoga Park from 11:30 am - 7:30 pm. 20 % of sales will be donated to POWW. Save having to make dinner or lunch and enjoy some delicious Italian food while supporting Welby Way and a small business. Please see the attached flier for more information.
Monthly Fire Drill - On Thursday in the morning we will have our April fire drill. Please remind your children of the importance of following emergency drill procedures.
I hope you have a wonderful evening and holiday if you are celebrating Easter, in the middle of Ramadan, or soon to celebrate Passover. I truly thank you for the gift of your child and collaboration.
